Welcome to The Sylvia Downtown Vancouver Hotel

 With our Centennial date approaching, we are looking to compile as many stories about the Sylvia Hotel as we can. We would love to hear any tales or recollections you may have pertaining to the hotel. Ultimately we will be publishing many of these on our web page as a way to memorialize the storied past of this Vancouver landmark.

The Sylvia's History
The Sylvia Hotel was designed as an apartment building in 1912 for a Mr. Goldstein, and named in honour of his daughter Sylvia. Our beachside lounge was the first cocktail bar in Vancouver and opened in 1954.
